FAQs

What can I expect for my initial and follow-up visits?

Your initial visit will be about 1 hour. We take a thorough health history, focusing on your weight history, previous weight loss attempts, challenges and successes. We review your medications, allergies, and family health history. We perform a body composition analysis to determine your fat and muscle mass. We discuss your health goals. We then work together on a treatment plan that includes nutrition education, physical activity guidance, behavioral strategies, and FDA-approved medications, if appropriate.

Follow-up visits will be every 6-12 weeks for the first 6-12 months. We re-check your body composition about every 3 months. Folllow-up visits will be about 30 mins.
